Who are you people?

Thomas Umstattd runs the Marketing Academy. He’s uniquely qualified because:

  1. Thomas is still in his twenties (oh the energy!), and has pioneered several successful companies.

Kathy Ide runs the Fiction and Nonfiction Academies. She is uniquely qualified because:

She is the author of Proofreading Secrets of Best-Selling Authors. And she has ghostwritten eight nonfiction books and a series of teen novels.
  2. She has been a full-time freelance editor/mentor since 1998, working with new writers, established authors, and book publishers. She writes columns of writing and editing tips for blogs and newsletters, and speaks at writers’ conferences across the country. She has helped numerous writers get published, both with traditional houses and through self-publishing, in both print and e-book formats.
  3. She is the founder and director of The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network for aspiring and established editors, and the Christian Editor Network, which matches authors, agents, and publishers with professional editorial freelancers.
